How to Wear Your Fragrance
A little technique goes a long way toward getting the most from every bottle.
Where to Spray
Pulse points — wrists, neck, and behind the ears — generate warmth that helps a fragrance open up over time. Spraying at chest height and walking into the mist works well for lighter, all-over coverage.
How Much to Apply
Start with 2–3 sprays for an EDT and 1–2 for a more concentrated EDP or Parfum. It’s easier to add more later than to tone down an overapplied fragrance.
Clothing vs. Skin
Fragrance tends to develop differently and last longer on skin than on fabric, and can occasionally mark delicate materials. If applying near clothing, test an inconspicuous area first.
Layering
Unscented or lightly scented body lotion applied before your fragrance can help it last longer without shifting its character. Avoid combining multiple strong scents at once, since they can compete rather than complement.
Storage
Keep bottles away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity — a drawer or closet shelf works better than a steamy bathroom cabinet. Proper storage helps a fragrance stay true for longer.
Reapplication
For an all-day presence, keep a travel size on hand for a light reapplication midday, focusing on the same pulse points rather than adding more layers on top of what’s already there.
